
Healthy Baked Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- 3 chicken breasts
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp chicken seasoning
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2/3 cup marinara sauce
- 1/6 cup bread crumbs
- 30 g cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 30g low fat mozzarella
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Place parchment paper over a baking tray.
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and chicken seasoning.
- In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and shredded parmesan.
- Over a cutting board, cut the chicken breast in half through the middle.
- Place the chicken breasts, one by one, in the oil marinade.
- Toss to coat the breasts with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
- Bake the chicken breasts for 15 minutes at 200°C.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the baked chicken breasts.
- Cover them with shredded low-fat mozzarella
- Return the tray to the oven for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese melts
- Serve the baked chicken parmesan with salad or grilled vegetables,
