Ingredients

 
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp chicken seasoning
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/6 cup bread crumbs
  • 30 g cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 30g low fat mozzarella

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Place parchment paper over a baking tray.
  3. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and chicken seasoning.
  4. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and shredded parmesan.
  5. Over a cutting board, cut the chicken breast in half through the middle.
  6. Place the chicken breasts, one by one, in the oil marinade.
  7. Toss to coat the breasts with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake the chicken breasts for 15 minutes at 200°C.
  9. Pour the marinara sauce over the baked chicken breasts.
  10. Cover them with shredded low-fat mozzarella
  11. Return the tray to the oven for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese melts
  12. Serve the baked chicken parmesan with salad or grilled vegetables,
