Rethink Food is a UK-based nonprofit organization that tackles food insecurity and promotes healthier lifestyles by providing food education and support to schools and communities. Their programs equip young people with the knowledge to make healthy, sustainable choices, while also working to reduce food waste and ensure access to nutritious meals.

Incredible Edible Leeds

Incredible Edible Leeds grow fruit, vegetables and herbs in public places for people to take for free.

They currently have 20 groups, 70 sites and 150 raised beds in Leeds. That’s an incredible amount of free edibles for the public. Click image to download their 2024 Impact Report

Healthy Start

Healthy Start is national campaign providing vouchers to pay for fruit, veg and milk. The scheme has been running nationally since 2006 and plays a role in reducing health inequalities for some of the lowest income families.

Just One More

Just One More is a local campaign to encourage people across Leeds to eat one more portion of vegetables every day as a snack or in their meals.

Healthy Holidays

Healthy Holidays Leeds is the local  name for the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food Programme. The scheme has been running since a pilot in 2018, growing in numbers each year.

In 2024, Healthy Holidays  helped 9751 children via 89 delivery partners
