Eating a healthy, balanced diet involves eating the right sort of foods, in the right amounts to provide energy and nutrients for our bodies to function. But with so much conflicting information out there, it is easy to become confused about making healthier food choices for you and the family.

The Eatwell Guide turns government recommendations on foods, nutrients and health into simple messages to help us make choices about the foods and drinks to promote good health and well-being. The Guide shows the different types of foods and drinks we should consume – and in what proportions – to have a healthy, balanced diet.
